Invergordon Mirror to the Past
Mooch was shortlisted to create a mural concept for an ambitious project in the Scottish town of Invergordon to establish a gallery of murals in the high street to attract visitors and tourists from the nearby port as part of the town’s regeneratrion strategy.
Mooch created a mirror stainless steel mural based on the outline of a once famous landmark building in the Invergordon High Street. The image was reduced to fine lines, almost a ghost drifting in from the past, and visualised on a site that best reflected the dramatic skies in this remote part of the country.
The old image would not only be animated by the changing weather connecting it to the here and now, it would also reflect the daily activities of this dynamic and determined community.
